Is there some tax-break that I don’t know about for writing about Zombies?
Should my next book be about Zombie Sorcery?
Maybe something like this:
ZOMBIE SORCERY
Magical Strategies for dealing with the Zombie Apocalypse
In this book by noted author and sorcerer Jason Miller, you will find a concise guide for the most useful magic to employ during the Zombie Apocalypse.
- Zombie banishing rituals
- Using pendulums to determine Zombie infestation zones
- Enchanting weapons for use against the undead
- Non-ritual magic for emergencies.
- Holy water to Holy Acid
- Summoning departed spirits to attack their own zombified corpses.
- Herbal elixirs and energy work to reverse infection after a bite
- Traditional rituals for creating your own Zombie horde and how to conrtrol them
As a sequel I could write SORCERY FOR ZOMBIES:
Ok, so the battle is over and the living lost. Does that mean you have to stop practicing magic? Of course not, you just need to switch things up a bit!
In this book, you will find:
- A guide to chakras, channels and subtle body anatomy of the Zombie
- Brains, they are not only delicious, but they make a great magical ingedient!
- Meditation and Yoga for mainting post-mortem fitness
- Zombie Astrology – Natal charts based on time of death.
- You can no longer use your lifeforce for magic – how to tap into the Undeath Force that animates us all.
- Christ, mythras, and Osiris as zombie archetypes – a new spirituality for a new age…
All this and much more…
Uh, no exaggeration, you could get a pub deal with those concepts. It’s very much along the lines of HOW TO SURVIVE A GARDEN GNOME ATTACK:
http://www.amazon.com/How-Survive-Garden-Gnome-Attack/dp/158008463X
That book was traditionally published and has been doing EXTREMELY well and has the marketing department behind it. Seriously, you should put together a proposal, write a cover letter with the same voice you used in this post, and pitch it!
You could also put a chapter on “biomancy”: the art of summoning the living!
If you wrote a book about how to make and work with real zombies I’m thinking tons of people would buy it. Think something like Wade Davis’ Serpent and the Rainbow (the book, not the unbelievable hack job that was the movie) but written from a sorcerer’s perspective rather than a scientist’s.
Yeah dude, it would sell. If the CDC is on the Zombie bandwagon, why shouldn’t you cash in? If you wanted to do something more serious, you could do an occult reference to Zombies? You could put it out for next Halloween.
I like it. The sequel I would definitely get.
Being a zombie nut since I was exposed to Romero’s version of the undead menace at a very early age, I would totally buy these books.
I also got a chuckle from the previous comment on “the art of summoning the living”.
You guys have brightened my morning!
Not only could you sell it, I bet you could get a movie deal..
Zombies ARE the new werewolfs, apparently!
x
the day zombie attack begins, I will be able to throw fireballs, so I am not worried.
I do like the idea of “Summoning departed spirits to attack their own zombified corpses ” thats pretty genius
You have to think about what caliber of ammunition stops zombies too.
you might even be able to float a book proposal dealing with what level of demon clowns are.
Thanks for the recommendations you have shared here. Something important I would like to mention is that laptop memory requirements generally rise along with other innovations in the engineering. For instance, any time new generations of cpus are made in the market, there is certainly usually a similar increase in the type demands of both laptop memory along with hard drive space. This is because software program operated by means of these processors will inevitably surge in power to leverage the new engineering.
I will immediately take hold of your rss as I can’t to find your e-mail subscription link or e-newsletter service. Do you have any? Please permit me know so that I may just subscribe. Thanks.
