Well, I am a little late to the party, but let me add my voice of praise to Gordon, RO, Conjureman Ali and others who are wild about Michael Cecchetelli’s Crossed Keys.
For those that don’t already know, this is a translation of the Black Dragon and the Enchirideon of Pope Leo, which gets referred to several times in the Black Dragon. I have not toyed with the Black Dragon yet, but I did use the Orison of Cyprian from the Enchiridion section this week to good effect. If you are at all into esoteric Catholic magic, this work CANNOT be missed.
I would also like to point out the appearance of the STANG as ritual tool in the Black Dragon. This will be of special importance to people involved in traditional craft circles such as the Clan of Tubal Cain and Roebuck tradition.
Michael’s translation is excellent and very readable. The book (I have the Hardcover) is very well put together. I am especially fond of the size. Rather than a very tall 10 inch books that most Grimoires and specialty occult books get released as, Crossed Keys is only 7 inches high and 5 inches wide making it a volume easy to travel with and even hide. In short, its a text meant for use, not looking pretty on a shelf, though it will do that as well.
Okay, thanks will do.
